Vintage Black Friday

Black, and Rusty
Lots of drawers
(that store Kidney Plasters??) hmmm.

Red Cross Kidney Plaster Box
Johnson and Johnson Company
circa 1910

Like many pharmaceuticals and simple preparations, Red Cross Kidney Plaster reflects a time when one remedy was applied to a variety of ailments. This box originally contained 12 plasters which were used therapeutically "for all aches, pains, strains and weakness for which a plaster is considered a useful remedy." Other pains from backache, rheumatism, lumbago, sciatica, lameness, soreness, kidney disorders, liver and bladder troubles, spinal weakness, muscular weakness and chest troubles were treated with the plasters.

now to display jewelry in.

And how much do you love these????
Vintage Boots.
I'd have been tired from lacin' them all the time.

Thanks for joining me for Vintage Black Friday.
Please go over to the
French Cupboard
and check out all the other sweet vintage treasures.

Favorite Word Party

Cindy at I Owe It All To Him
is having a favorite word party.
I've shared this before,
but she sweetly said I could share it again.

Remember:
It's my reminder word that:
God loves me
He died for me
He is always with me.
His mercy's are new every morning.
He knows my words before I ever speak them.
He provides for me.
He is my healer,
my guide,
my strength.
And anything and everything I could ever want.

Thanks Cindy, for such a great party.

Fun Time Friday

These are my new friends,
Monica, from California (on right)
and Hope, from Eugene (on left).
Monica is up visiting family and they all came
into the store the beginning of the week.

I invited them back today for a little Teabag Rose Class.
You can see by the top picutre they are working very hard.

Here is Hope, with her finished
mini match box with Teabag Roses on it.
Great job Hope!!

And here is Monica.
She is having entirely too much fun!

Here are more finished boxes.
Didn't they do a great job?
And we had so much fun.

I have a free Teabag Rose Tutorial for you on my side bar,
or chick the picutre to go there.

Or, if you live in or near Eugene,
I am now teaching classes at my shop.
Just email me for more information.
There will be bird nests, teabag roses, collages,
and Ps 139 jars coming up this month.

Now, I hope you will take the time to visit these other bloggers
and see what everyone else is doing.

Blessings

Thanks to Jan for hosting the Bragfest for us each week.

Oh, Jan, I did finally get my art table cleaned off.
All shiny white with new paper.
But, I forgot to take a picture of it!
Maybe next week, IF it is still clean.
(I would not hold my breath if i were you) =)

Outdoor Tea

No, this isn't the outdoor tea.

These are pictures from the parade I took my folks too last weekend.

Here are some pictures of displays I did
for an outdoor tea I went to Sunday afternoon.

It was a fund raiser so some of the money from sales
went to the group we were supporting.

Be sure to click on the pics so you can see them better.

My sweet daughter came too.

Found this leaf while out for my morning walk.

Can you see it better now?
Love that greenish blue color on it.

And last, also from my walk,

This beautiful butterfly!
I've never seen one with colors like that.

Happy outdoor Wednesday everyone!
